LUBNA TAI

Lubna Tai is an experienced educator having completed her Masters' degree in Mathematics with Gold Medal from South Gujarat University. She has been with Dr. B in Scholar Tutorials now for almost 10 years in a full-time teaching position. She has closely observed Dr. B's teaching style and assisted students in achieving academic success. She has a special ability dealing with PSAT/SAT/ACT Math and in showing various short-cut strategies that her students highly appreciate. She is a valuable member of the Scholar Tutorials Tutoring Team.

NEELAM BALDEV

Job Titles:

Neelam has done her Bachelor of Commerce from University of Mumbai and has been the administrative backbone of Scholar Tutorials. She has been instrumental in proving valuable support in framing and implementing administrative policies while understanding the needs and aspirations of the parents. She provides a patient ear to all the parental concerns.

PRASHANT BALDEV

After 23 years of teaching mathematics, in 2004, he realized the need for his own "professional evolution" and came to the United States to fulfill his dream of doing research in the field of mathematics education. At the Robert B. Davis Institute for Learning (RBDIL), Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University, New Jersey, he was involved in various research projects in the field of mathematics education. In 2008, he completed his Ed.D. (Doctor of Education) Program. His dissertation thesis titled "Urban Students Developing Algebraic Ideas in an Informal After-School Program" helped him understand the needs of students outside of school. This understanding coupled with the fact that there was a genuine and a dire need for tutoring services in the United States encouraged him to establish Scholar Tutorials in 2006 in New Jersey.

SATYEN BALDEV

Satyen Baldev, known as Mr. B by his students and their parents, has completed his B.A. Biology from Rutgers University and Double Masters in Mathematics Education from Rutgers University and Early Childhood Education from Kean University. He has been in Scholar Tutorials since the inception and by closely observing Dr. B's teaching techniques and nuances coupled with his own experiences outside of Scholar Tutorials, he has developed a unique style of teaching that is centered on students' understanding of concepts. After teaching K-12 students for more than a decade, his experiences have helped him advocate strongly for early childhood education which has significant implications for students' success in later grades. He has completed a research study on Indian Immigrant Parents' Participation in Their Children's Education as his master's thesis and was involved with other research projects at Rutgers University that investigate how children make meaning of fractions using Cuisenaire Rods.
