Betsy Leach

Dr. Danny Chesnut

Dr. Danny Chesnut earned his veterinary medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison after receiving his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Chesnut is interested in internal medicine and clinical pathology, as well as improving the quality of life for his patients. To that end, he has integrated Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) into his practice. He completed his Veterinary Acupuncture studies at Chi University in Florida, where he is also studying Chinese Herbal Medicine. Originally from Michigan, Dr. Chesnut grew up in Naperville and attended Neuqua Valley High School in its opening year. He practiced across Chicagoland for a decade before returning to Naperville. He is a fan of TV & movies, enjoys cooking and crafts, and spending time with his dog Aziz and cat Fat Tony. He's excited to get to know you and your pet!

Dr. Katie Manika

Dr. Manika was born and raised in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. She received her Bachelor's degree from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, IL. She received her veterinary degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Veterinary Medicine. Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, behavior, and rehabilitation. Dr. Manika strives to focus on the human/animal bond and making sure there is a positive experience between not only the pet and herself, but the owner as well. Dr. Manika has a yellow Labrador Retriever named Honey and a Californian rabbit named Toasty, both of whom she adopted from The Rescue Vets. In her spare time, Dr. Manika loves being outdoors (hiking, biking, running), being with family and friends, and traveling. She can't wait to meet you and your pets!

Dr. Laura Crossan

Dr. Laura Crossan received her veterinary and undergraduate degrees from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. A proud Chicago Veterinary Medical Association member, her special interests include internal medicine, feline medicine, and imaging. Before coming to Springbrook Animal Care Center, Dr. Crossan was a veterinarian at the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago and Peninsula Humane Society in California. She is excited to be a part of a practice that helps many animal rescue organizations in the area, including its own rescue organization, The Rescue Vets. In her spare time, Dr. Crossan enjoys reading, hiking, volunteer work, and spending time with her husband, two children, and two kitties. She looks forward to meeting you and your furry family members!

Dr. Maria Sprang

Dr. Sprang received her veterinary degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine after attending Elmhurst College for her undergraduate studies in biology. Her special interests include emergency medicine, clinical pathology, and veterinary forensics. Dr. Sprang is proud to work at a clinic that works closely with rescues. She loves seeing animals who come from poor circumstances given the opportunity to find a loving home. Dr. Sprang enjoys spending time with her husband and kids in her spare time. She also loves running, gardening, and baking.

Dr. Matthew Timmons

Dr. Timmons earned his DVM degree at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine after obtaining his undergraduate degree in molecular and cellular biology at the University of Illinois. He has a special interest in orthopedics, ultrasonography, and dentistry. He is a member of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association, Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Timmons grew up in Chicagoland and loves cheering on the Bears, Bulls, Hawks, and White Sox. He is also an avid runner and enjoys spending his free time with his wife, two kids (Finn and Brooke), and dogs, Lily/Mabel.

Leslie Spacil

Leslie has been with The Pet Experts for over 26 years, throughout which time she's been working her magic behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly. While her daily tasks keep her plenty busy, she makes time to expand her management skills by attending annual veterinary conferences and workshops, as well as various classes on computer programs. She thoroughly enjoys the business aspect of the practice and also looks forward to each and every opportunity to meet and speak with clients and to help with all of their needs. Outside of work, Leslie enjoys running and spending time with her beautiful daughter, her husband, and their 4 dogs- Buddy, Dierks, Avi & Cale.
