SOCIAL CONCERN

Since its inception Council of Social Concern has provided social and educational services that have helped tens of thousands of the area's most vulnerable individuals, including abused and neglected children, seniors, low-income working parents, households experiencing food insecurity, and immigrants. All of our programs serve individuals and families from Woburn and Winchester. Some of our services also assist residents in other Middlesex County communities... Council of Social Concern (with legal name of Woburn Council of Social Concern, Inc) was founded in 1969 by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to promote a sense of "neighborliness" in the community and address the absence of quality, affordable childcare and housing issues.
