STEAMBOAT DANCE THEATRE

Steamboat Dance Theatre (SDT) was founded in 1972 by a small group of local dancers who wanted to host a community dance performance. In the early years, SDT had 12 members and was couched under the umbrella of the Steamboat Arts Council. Over the past 50+ years, the organization has grown significantly in both programs and membership and has become its own fully operational 501(c)3 organization. In addition to hosting a local community dance performance, SDT now offers a wide array of dance programs that aim to enrich, enhance and educate the community. SDT now has an average membership base of 150 people, a healthy financial profile, an active and involved Board, a part-time Executive Director, and a strong reputation in the community...
