ST JOHN - Key Persons
Pastor John began his ministry here at St. John in January of 2012. He is a native of Minnesota, born in Albert Lea. He is a graduate of Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota where he earned his Master of Divinity degree. He has served previous churches in Lemmon, South Dakota, Canajoharie, New York, and Bagley, Minnesota. He is passionate about our Lord Jesus who calls us together in community and asks us to love one another and bear fruit. He loves to read, pray, study, listen to music, watch movies, and play.

Martin "Marty" Aberle and his family moved from Washington, Illinois to Waseca in 2006 when he took on a youth ministry position. He has been called to serve youth and their families since attending college. Prior to choosing ministry as a profession, he has worked with youth on many levels including crisis therapy, school consultant, family therapist, and a Master's level clinician for a group home. Along with with serving at St John, Marty also is a substitute teacher for 5 areas school districts and a seasonal Parks and Trails Associate for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. He and his wife, Jessi, have 2 daughters, Jordan and Maya, and a son, Liam.
