Damon Johnson

Damon Johnson has been a triple threat…guitarist, singer, songwriter…since his days as frontman of Alabama rock group Brother Cane and scoring three #1 singles at rock radio in the 90s (Got No Shame, And Fools Shine On, and I Lie In The Bed I Make). With that band he honed his craft with relentless touring and support slots with the likes of Van Halen, Aerosmith and Robert Plant. Johnson later toured the world for several years as guitarist for Alice Cooper and in 2011 he joined legendary Irish rock group, Thin Lizzy. In 2013 the core of that band morphed into a new group, Black Star Riders, and released three well-received albums of which Johnson co-wrote all the songs. He has also co-written songs for Stevie Nicks, Carlos Santana, Steven Tyler, and Sammy Hagar. Johnson's latest solo album is ‘Memoirs Of An Uprising', released on his own Double Dragon Records imprint in early 2019, and he is preparing no less than two new albums for the year 2020.

STONE HORSES' self-titled debut EP is a perfect blend of the swampy blues of the South with a truly modern rock groove. The songs are powered by singer-songwriter John Allen's dark melodies, huge choruses, and witty lyrics. Drawing on everything from the early blues pioneers to Jack White and Chris Cornell, STONE HORSES has crafted a sound that is undeniable and infectious. Songs like "Believe," "Flirting With The Devil," "Weiland," and first single "Reckless Ways" cleverly capture the spirit of the band in a sonic package of raw emotion. "We just want to make music that is timeless" states Allen. "Writing songs about the human condition is what I like to do. Love, hate, struggle and triumph are themes I want to convey." From Baltimore, MD, STONE HORSES was founded in 2016 by 19 year-old guitarist Teddy Merrill and vocalist John Allen. "Teddy was this teenage kid playing in a School of Rock band that opened for one of my other bands a few years back" states Allen. "I was impressed and kept in touch. He's an interesting cat… he's a very old soul. He's a very serene kid. It's as if he's a 70 year-old walking around in a 19 year-old body." The band gives nods to heavy blues but at the same time is looking to take rock music into the future. "When I started this project my original intent was to play drums and sing from the front of the stage but I soon realized that was too confining" states Allen. "I love to have freedom to roam the stage. Anyway, about a year ago I started with our song ‘Reckless Ways' and soon collaborated with Teddy and Vic Carrera with them adding some tasty guitar riffs throughout. By the time we decided on the name STONE HORSES, we were joined by my favorite rhythm section of Anthony Arambula and Ja- son Heiser on drums." The EP was produced and mixed by Allen at his home studio over the course of sever- al months. "The recording process wasn't all that conventional" states Allen. "As we write the song, I build the tracks as we go. In one instance Vic tracked guitars at his house and emailed them to me. Technology man… not like the old days." The 6 tracks on the EP are fueled by the memorable riffs and hook-laden melodies that timeless songs are made of. Allen's throaty yet sultry voice is intimately connected to his hard rock roots, meshing perfectly with Merrill's swaggering guitar riffs and the tight rhythm section of bassist Arambula and drummer Heiser to create a mixture of vintage Southern rock n roll aggression that at times sounds like a new-millennium version of Robert Johnson meets Soundgarden meets The Black Crows.

Soon Brice

Soon Brice was playing in a band called, L.B. and Oak Leaf and bartending at 12 th & Porter in Nashville. "I learned 25 cover songs," Brice remembers of those rather sweet days. "Twenty-five songs could get me through a three-hour set. (Laughs.) I don't think I've ever learned any other cover songs since then." Instead of the "Broadway scene" Brice cut his teeth in making trips to Key West, FL where he could play his original music and people would stop and listen. There he learned how to read and work a crowd while honing his craft as a performer. Brice started making substantial waves in the industry with 2010's "Ordinary Girl." He competed on CMT's Can You Duet? snagging a top ten spot after beating thousands of his fellow music-makers. He took the lead role in brother, Lee Brice's "I Drive Your Truck" music video and took home a British CMA Award for "International Song of the Year" for his heartfelt song "Blessed." With more outstanding original tracks such as, "It's You (I've Been Looking for)" "Summertime Vibes," Messin with my mind" and "Call Me Yours," Brice has surpassed over Fifty Million streams across the digital platforms. He has received accolades from the likes of Rolling Stone and Billboard and has shared the stage with acts like Luke Bryan, Dierks Bently, Hank Williams Jr. Gary Allan and Lee Brice just to name a few. Today, Brice finds himself with a fresh publishing deal with Double Down/PIA and a highly anticipated ten-track album that will deliver his fans his most impressive music yet. "Sometimes, you have to take some different routes to get where you were always meant to go," Brice explains. "But if it's your passion, I think you can find the sun on the other side of the rain." Indeed, it's his life's trip that is chronicled on Brice's new album, which documents late nights of hard work and just what the love of a good woman can do. "She made it hard for me to write a sad song," Brice says quietly of his wife, Denelle. But make no mistake - Brice is nowhere close to tying a shiny bow on life just yet. "I can still write songs about broken hearts and promises…because I've been there. But I've also got a lot of life experiences to share, both good and bad." With Lewis Brice, the glass is always half full. As in his song inspired by Matthew McConaughey's quote, "Let me tell you this, the older you do get, the more rules they're gonna try to get you to follow. You just gotta keep livin man, L.I.V.IN.
