TOURGUIDEPERU - Key Persons
Aaron Paiva Leyton, founder of TOURGUIDEPERU, started this adventure in 2002 with the idea of promoting Peru through the eyes of a local Peruvian.
Aaron obtained his training in Business Administration at San Martin University and the Official Guide License at CENFOTUR - the Peru's Tourism College. It was there that he developed his special talent for making Peru come alive to those who use his companies services. He also studied English at California State University in San Bernadino California and worked as part of the team of their "Study Abroad in Peru Program" for American Students. All this different experiences helped him to anticipate and understand the needs of his guests. It was there that he first heard the phrase, "It's not the destination but the journey." He lives it every day and invites you to join him on that journey of discovery.
In addition to his tours, Aaron has produced and directed several well received documentaries including "Between Peru & Bolivia", "Peru: Magic and Mystery" and "From the Heart of Peru: My Mother's Kitchen". Recently he is being working as a consultant for other travel projects and expanding the horizonts of the hospitality industry.
Between March 2020 to August 2022, despite the Virus Outbreak, Aaron was delivering virtual tours. "Following Aaron's path" which is a compilation of of his own videos around Lima, Cuzco and Machu Picchu that along with his LIVE commentary made the possibility to get people closer to Peru from the comfort of their home.
