The Village is primarily residential and agricultural. The Village encompasses approximately three square miles and is bordered to the north by Stony Brook Harbor, to the west by the Village of Nissequogue, to the south by the hamlet of St. James, and to the east by Stony Brook. The Village is noted for its scenic vistas and beautiful landscapes, its winding country roads, waterfront on pristine Stony Brook Harbor, numerous parks and a preserved sense of history.
