- Senior Instrument Engineer
Adam's primary responsibility at Mote is designing electrical and electronic hardware from the initial concepts to the final product.
He brings over 15 years of experience of electronics design and firmware design for instruments, while building remote monitoring devices for Mote's product development. He also provides technical support for the team in running regulatory instrumentation and network.
Qualifications
ME (Masters in Engineering of Information).
GradDip in Technology.
Brian's primary focus is providing remote measurement and monitoring services for a broad variety of projects.
He brings 24 years of experience in a wide range of environmental scientific consulting to environmental testing and monitoring programmes. This experience provides the insight behind asking the right questions when designing and executing measurement programmes to provide results that are ‘fit-for-purpose'.

MSc (Analytical & Environmental Chemistry).
MCE (Master in Commercialisation & Entrepreneurship).
Cherie's primary focus is on the development of methodology for speciating air particulate matter.
Cherie aims to answer the question of which particles in the air are small enough to breath in' and what are they comprised of. She provides measurement services and programmes that provide low-cost measurement solutions for the wide range of air quality problems Mote is called upon to monitor.
Qualifications
BSc (Hons.) Medicinal Chemistry.
PhD (Chemistry).
Claire's role focuses on measuring the water quality of streams in the Auckland region, ensuring the sensor equipment is maintained and calibrated to a high standard.
She conducts analysis using turbidity (NTU), total suspended solids (TSS) and water level data from our remote water quality sensors. The status of waterways of interest is liaised with clientele.
Qualifications
Claire is in the process of completing her BSc (Bachelor of Marine Science and Ecology) in 2024.
She plans to further her study, working towards an MSc in Marine Science.
Hailin's primary focus is on development, manufacture, calibration and testing of specialist telemetered remote monitoring instruments for a broad variety of environmental projects.
He also carries out service and maintenance of telemetered remote monitoring instruments supporting continuous improvement and development of advanced service firmware routines.

MCE (Instrumentation Science & Technology).
Ramesh is an Electronics Engineer specialising in firmware design and development with a focus on ensuring robust and reliable communication systems.
Ramesh has over 9 years of experience working with microcontrollers and embedded systems, ensuring the efficient integration of firmware with hardware components. Ramesh builds the edge based firmware for all of Mote's proprietary telemetry systems.
His role requires strong problem-solving skills, management skills and a collaborative approach to cross-disciplinary projects.
