AWBURN HOUSE - Key Persons
Dr Burke joined the surgery as a partner in 1999. He trained at Manchester University Medical School, and has worked at most of the hospitals in and around Manchester, including Tameside General. He trained to become a GP in Stockport which included 2 years working at Stepping Hill Hospital and a training year in Cheadle.
Dr Burke manages care for people with Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Airways Disease (COPD) with the practice nurse at the surgery. He also performs the new baby checks and immunisations (child health surveillance) and undertakes minor surgery including wart and verruca treatments.
