In the mid 80's I found myself working between Hamleys Toy Store, Selfridges and Harrods of London working for a toy demonstrator. The product was fun and the customers were happy. This gave me the opportunity to see inside the workings of large, "well oiled" stores and I loved every minute! Being commission based you did have to work hard and embrace every customer.
Life is about collecting a lot of experience and training, and all of this leads you to your destination. Later roles in Human Resources, tutor for Customer Services courses and management positions in Retail led me to my own store in Arrowtown NZ. Once again I have embraced my own business, finding the wonderful unique pieces and getting wonderful feedback from my customers.
