Born in Missouri and raised near Baltimore, Maryland, Bonnie embarked on a journey that led to a fulfilling career in the dental field. Achieving an associate's degree from Carroll Community College laid the foundation for Bonnie's professional pursuits.
Initially entering the veterinary field, Bonnie transitioned to dentistry, drawn by a keen interest in dental hygiene and inspired by her mother, a seasoned dental assistant of over 25 years. However, upon entering the dental field, Bonnie discovered that her true passion lay not in the intricacies of a patient's mouth but in the gratification of helping patients and the joy of training and mentoring others.
In 2019, Bonnie joined CarolinasDentist, taking on the role of managing the Porters Neck location. As time progressed, Bonnie expanded her responsibilities to support the Wilmington and Triangle regions, showcasing leadership and dedication to the dental community.
Beyond the professional realm, she finds joy and balance in her personal life. She and her husband, Chase, have two dogs, who are more like children. Bonnie unwinds by playing beach volleyball, indulging in reading, and immersing herself in the world of music.

Dr. Alexandra Wexler was born in Orange County, California but grew up in Seattle, Washington. She completed her Bachelor's in biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology at Central Washington University.
Dr. Wexler continued her education at the Midwestern University School of Dental Medicine in Arizona and received her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry. She also met her husband, Matt, while completing the dental program. Dr. Wexler's husband serves as a dentist in the Military at Fort Bragg. Alexandra spends her free time hanging out with her husband and her one-year-old daughter Mila.
Dr. Andrew Lefeber was born and raised in Racine, WI. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater earning his Bachelor of Science. After his undergraduate degree was completed, Andrew continued his education at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Lefeber joined the CarolinasDentist family at our Wilmington, North Carolina location. Although Andrew calls Wisconsin his home, he definitely has become at Tarheel at heart. He enjoys beach life, trying new restaurants, hiking and of course, cheering on his beloved Green Bay Packers and the Liverpool F.C. professional soccer team.
Andrew's passion for helping patients achieve their best smiles is foremost in everything he does to create long lasting good oral health. He feels blessed to be able to improve patients' lives while building strong patient relationships. His love of dentistry is truly evident with every patient interaction, and he continues to strive for excellence to ensure outstanding patient care. Dr. Lefeber doesn't take himself too seriously away from work and has become something of an expert at making great stovetop popcorn…nightly.

Dr. Cameron also serves as Chief Dental Officer for Lightwave Dental and is an esteemed member of the Invisalign Faculty, where he trains doctors and teams on the digital workflow of clear aligners across the US, Canada, and the UK. Dr. Cameron boasts an impressive career, including 15 years in private practice, where he also played a pivotal role in educating dental students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels as an Adjunct Faculty at the East Carolina School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Cameron holds an undergraduate degree from Duke University, a DDS degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and has earned a prestigious Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. His diverse background and extensive experience make him a valuable asset to the dental industry as a frequent guest on numerous dental and entrepreneurial podcasts. Dr. Corey Mullen is a proud native of Fayetteville, NC. After graduating from Terry Sanford High School, he attended The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill for both undergraduate and dental school. He achieved his DDS degree from the renowned program in 2011.
Dr. Mullen was honored to return home to serve our veterans while completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center. This program was awarded the first perfect score in the nation by the American Dental Association accreditation committee during the year of his residency.
Dr. Mullen co-founded CarolinasDentist and has led our Spring Lake practice since its opening in 2013. With his advanced training and commitment to continued education, Dr. Mullen takes pride in being able to provide his patients with utmost care and expertise, all while using the latest in dental technology. He has a passion for helping his patients achieve beautiful, functional smiles in a compassionate, comfortable environment, with personalized attention to each patient's specific needs.
Outside of work, Dr. Mullen loves spending time with his high school sweetheart wife, and their two fun-loving children. He still plays in a competitive soccer league with his childhood friends at Fayetteville Soccer Club, loves to play golf, snow ski, and visit Holden Beach. The Mullen family actively attends Manna Church.
Dr. Mullen is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and North Carolina Dental Society. He loves giving back to his great community through volunteering at the Care Clinic and Missions of Mercy.
Dr. Demi Renfro is originally from NW Arkansas, in the heart of the beautiful Ozark Mountains. Her lifelong love of dentistry began as a child in her mother's dental practice. She appreciates that dentistry allows her to use her artistic abilities to create confident, healthy smiles for her patients.
Dr. Renfro earned a degree in Biology from Texas Christian University and then earned her DDS at the University of Oklahoma where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with distinctions in comprehensive care and endodontics.
Dr. Dominique Baldwin grew up in Holly Springs, North Carolina. She obtained her B.S. in Biology at East Carolina University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She then received a dental assisting II certification at UNC Adams School of Dentistry prior to matriculating into dental school at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. Throughout dental school, she had the opportunity to work as a dental assistant, providing care throughout the state of North Carolina. During dental school, she also found a passion for coordinating and volunteering at free dental clinics to provide care to the underserved community. Dominique then graduated in the top ten of her class from East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine in June of 2021.
Because of her passion to expand her knowledge in dentistry, Dr. Baldwin made the choice to complete a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD-1) residency program at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine, based in Lillington, North Carolina. Throughout her time in the residency program, she gained knowledge and experience in implant placement and restoration, periodontal surgery, crown and bridge, and oral surgery. Dr. Baldwin enjoys all aspects of dentistry but has a particular passion for cases involving full mouth rehabilitation, cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Baldwin's commitment to expand her knowledge in dentistry and provide optimal care to patients allowed her to receive an AEGD-1 certificate in June of 2022 with a top three ranking out of twenty-one residents in the program.
When Dr. Baldwin is not practicing dentistry, she enjoys listening to music, spending time with loved ones, hiking, and fishing. Dr. Baldwin is also a proud rescue fur baby mother to her chihuahua, King Baldwin. Dr. Baldwin is a proud member of CarolinasDentist and looks forward to meeting your treatment needs.
Dr. Diskin was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Drawn to the warmer weather, she attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington as an undergraduate, where she received her bachelor's degree in biology and minored in chemistry. She returned to Pittsburgh to receive her master's degree in biology before going on to pursue her passion for dentistry. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and recently returned to North Carolina.
She strives to provide a comfortable, caring experience for all patients and loves giving her patients the ability to smile with confidence. In her free time, she enjoys running, yoga and hiking.
Dr. Diskin loves dentistry because it allows her to develop long-lasting relationships with patients in the community while serving their oral health care needs. Nothing makes her happier than seeing patients excited about their smiles. It's important to her that each patient feels their needs have been heard and met. If she can make every patient leave feeling more confident in their smile than when they walked in, it's a great day!
Dr. James Lohr was born and raised in the quaint and historic town of Salisbury, and now he has returned to provide quality dental care to his community. Dentistry had always been an aspiration, and during high school, he began shadowing local dentists and clinics to gain a better understanding of the fundamentals of dentistry.
At Catawba College, Dr. Lohr was able to pursue his interests in the sciences while majoring in biology. During Dr. Lohr's undergraduate years, he volunteered his time with community outreach at the NC Missions of Mercy Free Dental Clinics, supporting those in need with their oral healthcare.
After completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Lohr continued his higher education at the Dental College of Georgia, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine. He continues to enjoy learning new skills that enable him to deliver the greatest care to his patients. Dr. Lohr is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
When he is away from the office, Dr. Lohr enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, watching sports and reading.
Dr. Janaki Barot-Gajjar was born and raised in Hampton Roads, Virginia. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Biology and went on to earn her Doctor in Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed an additional year of training at a general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in the Bronx, NY.
Growing up in a small town, Dr. Barot-Gajjar cherishes the personal touch in relationships and patient care. She is detail-oriented and a strong proponent of compassionate, comprehensive dental care while prioritizing patient needs. Dr. Barot-Gajjar believes that patient education is an important part of good oral health.
Today, she lives in Cary, NC with her husband, Dr. Gajjar, who you will find at the CarolinasDentist - Chapel Hill office! In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, playing tennis, spending time with friends and family, cooking new recipes, and reading!
Dr. Josh Zukerman graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006 with distinction and highest honors, earning his BA in Anthropology. Most importantly, during his college years, he got to witness a UNC basketball National Championship in 2005!
While dentistry was always his long-term career plan, Dr. Zukerman initially pursued his passion for playing blues guitar. After college, Dr. Zukerman moved to Chicago, where he enjoyed several years of playing in multiple bands and taking the stage at some of the Windy City's most historic blues clubs. Dr. Zukerman still plays guitar to this day - just ask his neighbors!
Dr. Zukerman attended the UNC Adams School of Dentistry, where he graduated with his DDS degree in 2015. Wanting to advance his clinical skill set after graduation, Dr. Zukerman pursued an additional year of intensive training, completing a General Practice Residency at the Ann Arbor VA Health Care System in combination with the University of Michigan Hospital.
In 2016, Dr. Zukerman joined CarolinasDentist and became a partner dentist in 2018. He opened his office in April 2021 at his dream location - Chapel Hill!
Dr. Zukerman and his wife, Elaine, currently reside in Durham with their son, Elliott, and yellow lab, Paige. In his free time, Dr. Zukerman loves spending time with his family and friends, exploring new food and travel destinations, playing music, and embracing all things UNC - especially basketball and football.

Dr. Kathrin Gallick graduated Cum Laude with distinction in Biology from the University of Florida and went on to receive her doctorate of dental medicine degree with honors from the same academic institution. She was drawn to North Carolina for her general practice residency at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, where she focused on treating medically compromised and special needs populations.
Dr. Gallick enjoys various aspects of general dentistry and is an active member of the North Carolina Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. She also enjoys expanding her knowledge and skills through regular CE attendance and will this year complete a three-course continuum at the Nash Institute in Charlotte with a focus on esthetic dentistry.
She aspires to create a friendly and welcoming environment for patients of all ages as she strives to exceed their restorative, surgical, and esthetic goals. She is Invisalign certified and enjoys using clear aligner therapy to improve her patients' function and above all, their confidence.
Born and raised in a small town in Maine, Dr. Gallick couldn't wait to flee the long, cold winters of the northeast. Today, she lives in Raleigh with her husband and loves taking full advantage of all North Carolina has to offer. In her spare time, she loves cooking, reading, traveling, hiking, and of course cheering on the Gators!
Dr. McDaniel is a proud member of the CarolinasDentist team in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Dr. McDaniel became passionate about dentistry in high school as a volunteer with the Medical-Dental bus that provided free extractions and fillings for patients in need. Krista learned first-hand that care and compassion are what matters most.
Dr. McDaniel completed her DDS degree from the UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 2010 and completed her residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) from the Fayetteville VA Medical Center in 2011. Dr. McDaniel has over eleven years of experience and is active in various professional memberships including AGD, NCDS and the ADA.
Dr. McDaniel began her tenure with CarolinasDentist in 2015 and calls the Fuquay-Varina office her home. Krista takes pride in getting to know her patients and giving them the best in oral healthcare, and the confidence to make them smile.
Originally from Winnabow, NC, Krista now calls Fuquay-Varina home and is a wife and busy mother to two boys, ages 4 and 10.
Dr. Laura Johnson grew up in Lakeland, Florida. She attended the University of Florida, where she received her Bachelor of Science in biology with honors. Following undergrad, Dr. Johnson attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, graduating with her DMD in 2015. She continued her dental education at Tufts University, completing a 1-year general practice residency in 2016.
She began practicing at CarolinasDentist Fayetteville in 2016 and now leads the team at CarolinasDentist Asheville. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and North Carolina Dental Society. Dr. Johnson enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and strives to make her patients feel the most comfortable.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Johnson loves spending time with her husband, Dr. Dekow, their daughter, and four fur babies, two orange tabby cats and two German shepherds. On the weekends, they love to get outside for a hike and check out the amazing breweries that Asheville has to offer.
Dr. Laurent Pilon was born in Montreal, Canada and his family moved to Raleigh, NC in 1996. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and continued his education at the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2018.
Dr. Pilon has volunteered abroad with dental missions in Honduras and the Dominican Republic, where he treated patients in remote, underserved villages with no access to healthcare. He wishes to continue participating in humanitarian mission trips in the future. Dr. Pilon is an active member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
When away from the office, Dr. Pilon enjoys boating, hiking with his golden doodles, and restoring older sports cars.
Dr. Luke Miller is a Carolina native, born and raised in Chapel Hill, NC. Dr. Miller graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Miller continued his higher education by attending the UNC Adams School of Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery.
Prior to beginning his dental career, Dr. Miller served as a Medic in the United States Army, providing emergency and routine medical care in a clinical and military operation setting. With over 1,500 hours of patient care experience during his military service, Dr. Miller is well-versed in helping others using his skills and training learned at the highest level.
Dr. Miller is dedicated to ensuring that each patient receives personalized treatment that is tailored to meet their oral health needs. Dr. Miller's passion for dentistry and his genuine care for his patients make him a trusted partner for achieving optimal oral health and a confident smile.

Dr. Bodah was born and raised in Syracuse, NY but now calls beautiful Wilmington, North Carolina home. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Dr. Bodah attended the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He has also completed 1 year of post-graduate residency at Upstate Medical University and is a graduate of The Nash Institute Compendium, specializing in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Bodah is a lifelong learner and has completed over 400 hours of Continuing Education credit in the last two years. Additionally, Dr. Bodah traveled to Senegal Africa to provide free dental care to underserved citizens, which he considers one of the most rewarding experiences of his life and career.
Dr. Bodah loves his career as a dentist and takes pride in being able to share his clinical skills to ensure his patients are treated to the best oral health care. He combines his passion for creativity and philanthropy and enjoys the challenges that keep him on his toes every day. Dr. Priya Raju was born and raised in Southern India which is known for its rich culture and traditions of art and literature. She received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree from Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai with Distinctions and was trained by experienced dentists during the early stages of her career. She then came to the United States and attended an advanced standing program for international dentists and received her DMD degree with high honors from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine.
She has more than 7 years of experience in treating patients with care, compassion, and confidence. She believes dentistry is unique and challenging because it is a combination of science and arts which requires great cognition and creativity to restore oral health and a beautiful smile at the same time.
She can easily connect with people, which helps put her patients at great ease and comfort throughout their visits. While restoring great smiles to her patients brings her joy, she gets the fulfillment in relieving them from pain. Dr. Raju takes an individualistic approach to delivering oral care to every patient she meets.

Swiftly showcasing her passion for growth and effective leadership, she transformed her Fayetteville team into the largest and most profitable practice in the CarolinasDentist network, earning her a spot on the CarolinasDentist Leadership Team in 2018.
Her impact extended behind the scenes, where Gabrielle played a pivotal role in facilitating CarolinasDentist's partnership with Lightwave. Recognizing her contributions, she was promoted in 2020 to Regional Director of Operations for Lightwave and Integrator for CarolinasDentist. A firm believer in the EOS Operating Platform, Gabrielle exemplifies her commitment to streamlined operations which helped her earn her promotion to Senior Regional Director of Operations.
Originally from Western Pennsylvania, Gabrielle is a proud graduate of Slippery Rock University, holding a degree in Health Services Administration. She brings a wealth of leadership experience from multi-location medical and dental practices. Her dedication to continuous improvement is evident in her enthusiasm for professional development and executive coaching.
Now based in Raleigh, NC, with her husband Nathan, Gabrielle shares her home with her two furry companions, Teddy and Peach, who are likely familiar faces on her Teams calls. Outside work, she loves getting lost in books and finds joy in diving into DIY projects, effortlessly merging her love for stories with hands-on creativity. With a book in one hand and a toolbox in the other, she brings literature and craftsmanship together in her own unique way.
In 2018, Lauren Collins, originally from sunny Santa Rosa, California, happily joined the CarolinasDentist team in Raeford after graduating with a dental hygiene degree from Fayetteville Technical Community College. Lauren's positive energy and dedication to oral health quickly propelled her into the role of Hygiene Lead for the Raeford office in 2019.
Riding on the wave of her infectious enthusiasm, Lauren went on to apply for and secure the position of Hygiene Director in 2021. In this role, she supports and mentors all hygienists across CarolinasDentist, creating a workplace filled with positivity and professional growth.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Lauren's life is enriched by her love for animals. Currently sharing her home with two dogs and three cats, she exemplifies her caring nature not only in her career but also in her personal life. An outdoor enthusiast, she finds joy in kayaking and soaking up the beauty of nature. In 2017, Paulina Franco Gil earned her degree as Chemical Engineer from the University of Antioquia. The Colombian native who found her heart divided between the vibrant valley of Medellin, Colombia, and the rolling landscapes of North Carolina moved to the US in 2018, where she not only found a new home but also the love of her life. Paulina embarked on a journey of resilience and adaptability being a proud military wife.
Joining CarolinasDentist in 2021 as a Treatment Coordinator in the Raeford location, Paulina swiftly climbed the professional ladder. Within a year, she transitioned from Treatment Coordinator to Assistant Practice Manager and was promoted to Practice Manager. Another year unfolded, and the opportunity to serve as the Area Manager for the Sandhills region knocked on her door.
Paulina's passion extends beyond the office walls. She thrives on helping others grow and achieve their goals. When she is not immersed in the world of dental management, she is fostering an active lifestyle. Paulina enjoys going to the gym and loves outdoor activities, whether it's soaking up the sun at the beach, conquering mountain trails on a bike, or skiing down snow-covered slopes during winter.
