With regards to the MRCGP assessments, the whole day release is aimed to help you to become successful in the AKT, though reading and online learning plays it's part. Time is available for these through your private study sessions. The programme is also focused on the CSA from day one. We provide basic consultation skills training in ST1 followed by a mock assessment at the end of this year. Coaching continues with further consultation skills training in ST2 and another mock assessment at the end of this year. In ST3 we have a residential course in a lovely hotel in the peak district, with the focus on the CSA. We invite CSA examiners and actors to help us here. There is a further mock assessment and the chance to work together in study groups prior to doing your CSA. We still believe, however, that your best revision is through seeing patients in your training practices and discussing cases with your trainer.
