D&C BUILDERS - Key Persons
In 1965, Jim and his cousin, Paul Costner, Jr., founded D&C Builders, Inc. They began in residential construction and built many homes around Mauldin. In 1972, they shifted their specialization to commercial construction using pre-engineered metal buildings. In the late 1970's, Jim acquired Paul's share of the company. He built a reputation for quality work at an affordable price and it shows; the majority of D&C Builders' business originates from personal referrals and repeat customers.
Scott began working for his father's company during summer break at age 14. After graduating from USC at Spartanburg in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, he began working full time for D&C Builders, Inc. Scott is an efficient construction manager who has worked hard to maintain the reputation his father built over the past five decades.
