DJ Mix-a-Lot started when my daughter Katherine asked me to provide the music for her 16th birthday party. I decided to purchase some professional equipment including a mixer, microphone with boom stand, 2 15 inch 2-way speakers with tri-pod stands, and a 2500 watt amplifier and then surprised my daughter when we were setting up for the party. Since then, my daughter and I have acted as DJs for a number of dance parties and a wedding which have been very well received and has provided a creative outlet for our love of music. I suggested to my daughter that we establish a DJ business, so we setup a corporation, built and launched this website, created business cards, and developed a set of checklists that we use for each event...
