EASTERN NEUROLOGIC - Key Persons
Dr. Gao hails from Beijing, China, where she earned her
medical degree at Shanxi Medical College. She then went on
to complete a Masters Degree in Neuropsychopharmacology
at the Beijing Academy of Medical Science. Dr. Gao earned
her Ph.D. in Neuropsychopharmacology at New York
University (NYU) Medical Center's Department of Psychiatry.
She remained in New York City, where she completed her
neurology residency at NYU Medical Center. She then went on
to pursue an EMG fellowship at Bellevue Hospital.
Dr. Gao has managed a successful private practice for 11
years and now has expanded to two primary care clinics in
midtown and Chinatown. In addition to her clinic work, Dr.
Gao is an assistant professor of Clinical Neurology at NYU
Medical Center. She currently acts as an attending physician
at NYU Downtown Hospital, NYU Tisch Hospital, Bellevue
Hospital, and St. Vincent's Hospital.
