The Gardner Documentary Group is a documentary film production company in New York City, led by Janet Gardner (writer, director producer) that facilitates the production of socially responsible and educational documentaries for educational television, schools, colleges, and libraries. Releases cover human interest stories and subjects including Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia), Siberia, the Quakers and industrialist and philanthropist Peter Cooper... The Gardner Documentary Group, a not for profit organization, facilitates the production of socially responsible and educational documentaries for educational television, schools, colleges, and libraries. Our special interest is in films revealing hidden history... THE GARDNER DOCUMENTARY GROUP serves as a platform for creating documentary films with a focus on hidden history. In 2015, the Guggenheim Foundation awarded Janet Gardner a Fellowship in recognition of her body of work and in support of Quakers: The Quiet Revolutionaries.
