The David T. Bailey Graduate School of Education (BGSE) promotes the University of Tennessee professional education research community and its engagement in the generation and sharing of knowledge designed to improve student opportunity, achievement, and success. The BGSE strives to foster a deeper understanding of education throughout the local, regional, national, and international community and serves to build and strengthen collaborations across departments, programs, and services in education. The mission of the BGSE is to promote a healthy, educated, and civil society; to encourage life-long learning; and to enhance the quality of life within the diverse, global community by preparing professionals to educate and lead for the changing landscape of 21st-century schools and classrooms.
