From its beginnings as a small shop specializing in mostly small motors in 1961, it has grown into a 12500 square foot facility capable of repairing up to 1500 Hp motors. The current owners Wayne and Steve Hoffman purchased the company in 1996 and have made many investments to make Hammond Electric one the most technologically advanced shops in North Carolina... Hammond Electric Motors is a full service electric motor repair shop located in Albemarle, NC. But our services do not stop at just motor repair, we have a complete machine shop, a servo repair dept, and a complete line of motors and controls in stock. We also offer field services such as motor alignments, motor testing, and vfd start ups.
