The Cleveland Way begins in Helmsley, the awe-inspiring ruins of Rievaulx Abbey are a couple of hours walk away, and close to the town are the magnificent Helmsley Castle, the Walled Garden, Duncombe Park, The International Birds of Prey Centre and myriad shops, restaurants and pubs in and around the town.
