HULL TRINITY ACADEMY

When ‘Hull Trinity House Marine School' opened on the 2nd of February 1787, it had only 36 pupils, the Master then being Reverend. T. O. Rogers (1787-1789), curate of the nearby Sculcoates Church. There was no curriculum, but there is no doubt that Arithmetic and Navigation were the principal subjects. Little is known about the first 36 boys to enter the school; however, we do know that only three of them did not complete the course... Welcome to Hull Trinity House Academy's website. The original school was founded in 1787, we are a well established inclusive secondary academy situated in the city of Hull. Hull Trinity House Academy remains very proud of its history and traditions. Our motto ‘Spes Super Sydera' (Hope beyond the Stars) still clearly sums up our Academy's aims. We hope that this website gives you our vision of the innovative and exciting opportunities awaiting the young people who attend our Academy.
