The Ohio State University Women's Glee Club, established in 1903, strives to connect and empower women through music-making and community by challenging each to find her/their own voice. Additionally, it has the distinction of being the first musical organization to appear in concert in Mershon Auditorium. The Women's Glee Club membership represents a wide variety of majors and interests, with singers ranging from freshmen to graduate students. Members work to improve and expand musicianship through challenging and varied repertoire focused especially on works by women and BIPOC composers... One of the organization's main goals is to grow in sisterhood and compassion through bonding and activism. Our partnerships with community organizations like Alvis and Huckleberry House link our artistry with needs in our community.
