I love playing with the children and having the excuse to be a big kid with them! Making a mess with sensory play has to be our favourite as well as watching them create with paints and seeing their creative talents emerge.
There's nothing quite as fulfilling to me as being the 'safe place' on which a child can rely. I know I'm doing my job well when a child comes to me for reassurance and guidance before securely returning to play. I also love setting up creative play spaces and watching the children engage with and love their activities. I see my job as a facilitator of learning whilst assisting in the development of empathy and consideration for others.
I enjoy listening to the children ™s conversations as they chat with me and each other. I appreciate the opportunity to extend their language, understanding of the world and their love of books. It makes my day when they bring in a book from home to share and I love their smiles when we share a joke or funny moment!
