Founded in San Francisco by Carol Moukheiber and Christos Marcopoulos, Studio (n-1) Architects works - with playful attention - on projects traversing different scales from urban design and architecture, and building assemblies to domestic objects, manuals, and clothing. The built and conceptual projects, along with the physical prototypes have served as experiments for a flirtatious architecture that plays an active/subjective role - where all matter is recognized as vital, dynamic and expressive in shaping the perceptual experience of the inhabitant. Harnessing the intimacy of the domestic scale, the work has focused on the home as an immersive environment
