The Nunavut Planning Commission (NPC) was formally established in 1993 as an Institution of Public Government (IPG) under Article 10 of the Nunavut Agreement. The Nunavut Planning and Project Assessment Act (NuPPAA) enacted in July 2015, established the NPC as the "gatekeeper" for all project proposals. This means that all activities proposed in Nunavut must first be submitted to the NPC for review...
