Northfield Farms was established in 1990 by Lee Christensen and his daughter, Laurel. Currently owned and operated by Laurel, the nursery specializes in the container production of finished herbaceous perennials, along with groundcovers and flowering shrubs... Our mission is to give excellent value to the customer by offering great quality plants at a reasonable price while providing employees a positive working environment... The Christensen family has been in the nursery industry since 1931, when Peter Christensen opened a business in what was then Plymouth, Michigan. Christensen's prospered and was eventually assumed by Lee Christensen who expanded the business in the years to follow, until it eventually was purchased in 1990.
