James H. Price IV joined Price Law Firm, P.A. in 2016 after serving as an Assistant Solicitor with the 13th Circuit Solicitor's Office for five years. As a prosecutor, James worked in the Drug, Vehicular Crimes, and Magistrate units. He was responsible for managing hundreds of cases from initiation to conclusion, which included conducting numerous jury trials. James' experience as a prosecutor provides him with unique insight into the criminal justice system. James was born and raised in Greenville. He graduated from Greenville High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of South Carolina where he was a member of a national honors fraternity. James earned his Juris Doctor from Charleston School of Law in 2011. James is a member of the Greenville County Bar Association, the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Greenville Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. James H. Price, IV has been a successful trial lawyer since 2011. James handles litigation cases in both federal and state courts. As a former Greenville SC prosecutor, James obtained a unique perspective about the skills needed to defend criminal law cases. As a Title IX lawyer, James has been very active in defending high school, trade school, professional schools (chiropractic, law, medical), and students attending both public and private colleges and universities who are accused of federal Title Nine discrimination violations. These federal rules were enacted in 1974 and apply to every educational institution of any type that receives any federal funding. The Price Law Firm founding lawyer, James H. "Chip" Price III served South Carolina from 1975 until his passing in 2020. He was well-regarded among his peers, former clients and in the legal community for his exceptional skills and professionalism.
