David Rhodus

​​The first 19 years of his career, Mr. Rhodus was a Kansas City trial attorney having primary responsibility over many complex business disputes and serious personal injury cases - he devoted the next 12 years to pursuing business interests as an entrepreneur and as a senior in-house corporate attorney. ​Mr. Rhodus started his own firm in 2006 where he now provides sophisticated legal advice and services for his clients in connection with most all business matters and transactions, commercial disputes and controversies, and personal injury litigation. From 1999-2005, Mr. Rhodus was vice president & general counsel of Aaron Rents, Inc. at its Atlanta, Georgia headquarters. As the chief legal officer for the company, he led a full-service legal department, providing management with legal services and advice for all aspects of the company's business, including corporate law, acquisitions, commercial transactions, litigation, franchising, employment law, real estate and intellectual property. From 1998-1999, Mr. Rhodus was a senior in-house corporate attorney with Alumax, Inc., a Fortune 500 aluminum manufacturing and products company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Rhodus moved to Atlanta in 1993 when he was presented with the opportunity to join in the ownership and operation of Atlantax Systems, Inc., a tax compliance service bureau specializing in national telecommunication and hospitality taxes, where he served as vice-president & general counsel. Before moving to Atlanta, Mr. Rhodus had an extensive career as a partner with the Kansas City law firms of Morris & Larson (1974-1988) and Craft, Fridkin & Rhyne (1988-1993), with a practice emphasis in the trial and appeal of complex business matters, medical malpractice defense and personal injury defense. His legal career began in 1972 with the Pittsburg, Kansas law firm of Wheeler & Mitchelson. Mr. Rhodus obtained his undergraduate degree in business administration (B.S., 1970) and his law degree (J.D., 1972) from the University of Kansas. After graduating from law school and before entering the private practice of law, Mr. Rhodus fulfilled his military service commitment with the United States Air Force (Captain, obligated reserve). Mr. Rhodus is admitted to practice in Georgia, Kansas and Missouri (inactive). He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the North Fulton Bar Association, the Johns Creek Civitan Club, the Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce, the Johns Creek Business Association and Johns Creek United Methodist Church.
