ROSMARIN ENGINEERING - Key Persons

Josiah Rosmarin - Founder

Job Titles:
  • Founder
Josiah's professional career began at Rethink Robotics developing the robot Baxter. As an early employee, he had the opportunity to have visibility into the product definition process, be deeply involved in every prototype iteration, and interact with some of the most proficient suppliers in the nation. Josiah was responsible for several of Baxter's core technologies and was involved in filing three patent applications for Rethink (one of which has already been granted). After Rethink, Josiah joined Romotive (now zipline), where he lead the hardware team responsible for developing the third generation Romo. Josiah developed product requirements along with the management team. His engineering team modified an existing design to meet those requirements and prepare it for production. Josiah spent time overseas working with the manufacturing company and Dragon Innovation to manage manufacturing preparation and ramp to full scale production. At Rosmarin Engineering he has helped clients both domestically and internationally, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to single-founder startups. He has helped in projects ranging from minimally invasive surgical robots to smart-typewriters and hand-held portable bluetooth scales, from the early phases of concept to late-stage production rollouts. Josiah received his B.S. and M.S. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
