About WEC Each year, the program enrolls 3-5 academic units (typically departments). An enrolled unit remains active for a period of 7-10 years, during which its faculty creates, implements, and assesses three editions of an Undergraduate Writing Plan. In each unit, a faculty member is appointed as WEC Liaison.
