Chromacity was founded by Dr Christopher Leburn and Dr Carl Farrell who commercialised academic research excellence, from Heriot-Watt University, to form the Edinburgh-based laser manufacturer in 2013. They shared a vision of bringing to market a range of lasers tailored to the specific requirements of life scientists and industrial applications, driven by a unique combination of power, wavelength coverage and value for money... Guided by a set of core values, our aim at Chromacity is to develop a new generation of reliable plug & play systems at price points which are more accessible to researchers. In turn, researchers not only spend less money, but spend less valuable time on configurating experimental setups whilst concentrating their efforts on what matters the most - making scientific discoveries...
