Dr Alice Cleary

Alice graduated from University College Cork in 2009 and, with a wealth of experience and postgraduate training, has recently returned to her hometown of Cork to join the team at Ballincollig Dental. Her previous posts include several years in a private general practice in Cornwall, twelve months in Australia including a spell providing emergency dental care for the isolated community of Thursday Island. She enjoys all areas of preventive and restorative dentistry, and has a keen interest in helping her adult patients achieve more confidence in their smiles. Her additional training includes being a certified provider of the "Six Month Smiles" system and Alice has a keen interest in helping adult patients, of all ages, achieve more confidence in their smile. She can help patients with this goal, through the use of short-term, cosmetic braces for teeth straightening as a certified provider of the Six Month Smiles system. In order that she could offer patients more treatment options for replacing missing teeth, Alice undertook additional full-time training at Cardiff University, successfully completing, in September 2018, her MSc., with Distinction, in Dental Implantology. A member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) she enjoys yoga, swimming and a cup of tea with a good book, when time allows.

Dr Leila Kingston

Originally from Drimoleague in West Cork, Leila qualified in 2001 from Cork University Dental School and Hospital. She worked in the UK before returning to Cork to establish Ballincollig Dental practice in 2004. Leila has developed her practice to include state-of-the-art equipment and the most advanced treatment options for your comfort and benefit. In recent years Leila has focussed her skills on the provision of removable dentures. Although fixed replacements for missing teeth are ideal, there are limits to what can be provided, and it is clear that there is a need for high quality dentures produced using the very best in materials, contemporary techniques and with the support of the finest technicians.

Dr Marie Glavin B.

Marie brings a broad breadth of expertise. She is a Ballincollig native and graduated from University College Cork in 2005. After qualification she worked in a family practice in Scotland for 3 years, obtaining the MFDS qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Following a year travelling and working in rural elderly dental care in Australia, she returned to the UK and worked in private dental practice for a further 8 years before returning to her hometown of Ballincollig in 2018. She has gained a further postgraduate certificate in Restorative Dentistry, provides Botox anti wrinkle treatments and carries out Six Month Smiles orthodontic treatments for her patients. She loves the variety that comes with family dental practice.

Dr R N Nair

Dr. Claire O'Leary

Having qualified from University College Cork in 2020, Claire spent two years working in the general dentistry field in Dublin. She completed hands on training in oral surgery, facial aesthetics and implant restorations. Claire has recently relocated back home to Cork and looks forward to delivering the same excellent care of treatments to her patients at Ballincollig Dental.

Dr. Louise Bell

Louise qualified from University College Cork with an Honours Dentistry Degree in 2011 and has been working in private practice and the Irish Navy since. She also has a degree in Psychology from Trinity College Dublin and uses her knowledge of health psychology to empower patients and their families to achieve and maintain great oral health. She is a gentle and caring dentist who enjoys helping nervous patients to achieve their dental goals. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry including getting to know her patients and building up trust and putting them at ease while delivering a wide variety of dental procedures. She enjoys providing restorations that are minimally invasive and aesthetically pleasing. She has done post graduate training in Six Months Smiles short term orthodontics and is a member of the Irish Dental Association. She is committed to keeping her skills and knowledge up to date and is in the process of obtaining her postgraduate diploma in primary care dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons. While not at work she enjoys hillwalking, yoga and baking with her two young children.

Ms. Evelyn O Brien

Evelyn's experience has both breadth and depth. She has worked in both general and orthodontic practice before finding her passion in specialist periodontal practice. She furthered her education by training with a highly respected periodontist as a specialist periodontal and surgical dental nurse before qualifying as a registered Dental Hygienist. Her remarkable range of experience which include working with periodontal patients, implant patients, oral surgery, bone grafts and gum grafts has already made her an integral part of the Seapoint Clinic team. She is passionate about oral hygiene education and oral health promotion, Evelyn believes in giving each patient the individual knowledge and tools they require to achieve and maintain periodontal health and stability. A devotee of continuing professional and personal development, Evelyn also obtained an honours degree in Social Science from UCC in 2010 and continues to gain experience by attending a range of talks and classes.
