We are the National Blood Authority (NBA), an Australian Government agency that manages arrangements for the supply of blood, blood products and blood-related services in Australia... The National Blood Authority is strongly connected to the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood. On behalf of all Australian governments, we manage Australia's national blood arrangements, including the collection of blood and plasma by Lifeblood. All governments strongly encourage blood and plasma donation by anyone who is able to do so, as often as they can.
