TANNA ORTHODONTICS - Key Persons
Dr. Ava Chung was born in Taiwan and came to America when she was young. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry at UCLA. She graduated from UCSF dental school and received pediatric dentistry training at Loma Linda University. Dr. Ava is a board-certified pediatric dentist.
Dr. Ava did not have a good experience in the dental office when she was young. Her goal is to provide good experiences for her patients.
Our specialist, Dr. Nihar Tanna, has been creating beautiful smiles since 2003. Dr. Tanna received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and master's degree in orthodontics from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in Morgantown.
He was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society and is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, California Dental Association, and Tri-County Dental Society.
Dr. Tanna resides in Yorba Linda with his wife Nilima and their three children: Ruchika, Shreya, and Vivek.
Dr. Sandra Yen is a board-certified orthodontist who strives to provide quality care while shaping positive experiences for each and every patient. Dr. Yen graduated from Stanford University with honors and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from UCLA, where she graduated in the top of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. She obtained her certificate in orthodontics from Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, the university hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
As an Inland Empire native, she loves serving her local community and feels very blessed to be in this profession of creating smiles. She is fluent in Mandarin. In her free time, Dr. Yen enjoys jogging, hiking, trying new foods, working on arts and crafts projects, and spending time with her beloved rescue Chihuahua.
