Manasi Manjrekar, Founder Director of Confluence Elite Designs Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian born Product designer with studies in Rochester Institute of Technology, NY, USA and The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen, Denmark. She is a designer in her own right, but her designs come connected to have a harmonious balance between art furniture + utility furniture - as she likes to term them as "Util-Art" with which she connects, extensively. Her philosophy of design is centered on the Shaker principle. States Manasi, "Confluence Elite - the concept store is a platform where the mind and ideas meet birthing new concepts. Designs created and manufactured in-house follow the Shaker-Principle of design - "Don't make something unless it is both necessary and useful; but if it is necessary and useful, don't hesitate to make it beautiful." Her goal is developing concept products and to make available modern, country non-specific products for the global Indian.
