Bill has over 40-years experience in the telecommunications industry, including 22-years at MCI: first as Director, Operations Engineering and Construction, where is engineering and installation organization was responsible for 100% of MCI's U.S. transmission system expansion; followed by his position as Director, Network Equipment Engineering , where his team of over 300 engineers and support personnel were responsible for the co-development of over 90% of the equipment used in MCI's network, including fiber-optic transmission systems.
Prior to starting Datran, Bill Held the position of Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Enron Asia Broadband Systems, where his team was responsible for fiber-optic transmission systems and large data center engineering and construction in Mumbai India.
