I absolutely love working at Wynkoop Dentistry - the positivity, enthusiasm, and overall vibe of this practice is electric, and I hope you feel it too! Working in such a supportive environment fosters a culture centered around teamwork and top-notch patient care, and I'm so happy to share my love of dentistry with you. I grew up in a family of engineers, so my entire upbringing was saturated with a passion for science, mechanics, and creativity. Quickly realizing I was an extrovert and better suited for a career working with people, I found the perfect amalgam (pun intended) of my interests in a single profession: dentistry. I like to think of myself as "a citizen of the world," having spent my childhood bouncing around from state-to-state and country-to-country. My Air Force family's tendency to move so frequently instilled in me a love of meeting new people and getting to know them more personally. I apply this to my work, and I love hearing from fearful patients that I've changed their perception of dentists. I moved to Colorado after graduating from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and fell in love with this beautiful state. After graduating from dental school, I stayed in Colorado to complete my residency in hospital dentistry before ultimately deciding to create a permanent home in Denver. I have been happily working as a general and cosmetic dentist in private practice ever since! I love my job because it allows me to get to know individuals and families, and watch them grow. Working at Wynkoop Dentistry allows me to utilize the latest in science and technology to provide state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment for everyone. When I'm not practicing dentistry I'm usually in the kitchen, reading a new book, or enjoying Colorado's outdoor activities with my husband and our pup, Beilein!

I've been at Wynkoop Dental since 2012 and I couldn't be more excited to wake up in the morning and go to work. My team loves our patients as much as I do and we make being at the dental office a fun experience…can you imagine?!! I am happiest when I am learning and growing. I like to stay on top of what's new and great to treat patients. In particular I'm very interested in the bite and how it relates to your overall health. This includes TMD treatment as well as straightening teeth with Invisalign to create better oral health. I believe in prevention and teaching people about how to avoid dental problems before they start. I'm involved in numerous study clubs and take a lot of time to attend continuing education each year. Another thing I enjoy about being a dentist is building relationships with my patients and empowering them to love their teeth as much as I do! I grew up on the other side of the mountain in Grand Junction. I headed west to UC San Diego for Undergrad and then up to University of the Pacific for Dental School in San Francisco. I couldn't stay away from Colorado forever, this great state is where my heart belongs. I enjoy being outdoors and traveling. I live in the Highland neighborhood and love the community feel it has while still being close to bigger city conveniences like delicious restaurants. My husband Daniel and I have two daughters and one son to keep us busy!

What I love most about working at Wynkoop Dentistry is the unique culture and state of the art technology. The enthusiasm for personal and professional growth, and the sense of team camaraderie allows us to provide quality dental care dialed in for each individual patient. And it makes it easy for me to come to work everyday! I was born and raised on Long Island, New York. I headed south for better weather where I attended the University of Miami for college. (Go Canes!) New York called me back for dental school, where I attended the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. After finishing dental school with Magna Cum Laude Latin honors, I then completed a General Practice Residency program at Jacobi Medical Center in New York City. For the past five years I have been practicing in the front range. Despite an eternity in school, I am still eager to stay current on the latest research and procedures in dentistry. I am most excited about expanding my implant and restorative practice with the newest approaches and options for care. I love providing my patients with great care and better music recommendations (Have you heard of John Digweed?) While I love the Big Apple and the beaches of Miami, Denver is now my home. I love hiking with my dog Steve, camping (if the views are worth it), and (over) indulging in Denver's music and restaurant scene.

Dr. Nika was born and raised in Colorado and decided at an early age she was never leaving. She completed her undergrad at CU Boulder (GOBuffs!) and graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. She went on to complete a one year residency in Seattle, Washington, but quickly returned to Denver where her heart belongs. Wynkoop Dentistry is the perfect fit for Dr. Nika- a dental family that is dedicated to providing the best care to patients in a positive, caring, and fun environment. Dr. Nika is passionate about providing quality care in a friendly and comfortable way that elevates patient experiences and makes being at the dentist fun. She hopes that everyone who sits in her chair has a positive experience and leaves feeling educated and empowered. When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Nika can be found spending time with her family and friends, cooking, traveling, and exploring all the incredible things this city and state have to offer!
