D DENTAL OFFICE - Key Persons
After obtaining his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Montreal in May 2001 and completing a multidisciplinary residency at the New York Hospital Of Queens in 2002, Dr. Karim El Samra worked with a few clinics until 2008. He then co-founded a clinic in Hawkesbury, Ontario. In 2013, Dr. El Samra realized that it was time to establish, in his hometown, an ultra-modern dental practice that focuses as much on quality care as patient comfort. So he found a great location in Dollard Des Ormeaux, and D Dental Office came to be.
Ann graduated as a dental assistant from Lester B. Pearson in 2010. After earning her diploma, she started working full-time at a renowned dental office in Montreal for 8 years, allowing her to grow professionally as she gained more knowledge, competency, and dental skills related to various dental surgeries. In 2018, she has decided to take her credentials as a dental secretary, where she found a new home at the D Dental Office.
She has always enjoyed working in the medical field because helping and contributing positively to people's lives even with the smallest things makes her feel happy. In fact, while working as a Scheduling Coordinator, she had decided to expand her interest in oral health and will be studying the dental hygiene program in the fall of 2022 with the goal of taking on new challenges.
On a personal note, She loves to be surrounded by family, her husband and her two beautiful daughters. In her spare time, she loves to paint, listen to instrumental cover music, play basketball, and travel the world with her loved ones.
Laura graduated from CDI college in 2017. She joined the dentistry field because helping people achieve a beautiful and healthy smile was something that always inspired her. Laura loves learning new things and dentistry, being a field that is constantly evolving, sparked her interest at a young age. What led her to the D Dental Office was the way Dr. Karim El-Samra educates his patients about oral and overall health. The latest technology that is being constantly upgraded and integrated into the office always keeps things fresh and exciting. She also enjoys being around a wonderful hard-working team who truly cares about the health and safety of every patient and gets great satisfaction to see how happy patients are after their dental treatments.
In her spare time, she enjoys trying new restaurants with her boyfriend, travelling, doing yoga and crochet.

Sharmila Manikkavasagar, a registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from John Abbott College in 2010. She loves her job because it gives her the opportunity to educate as well as help patients achieve their oral health. What she loves about the team is that everyone always has a positive attitude and truly cares about the patients' needs. She also prides herself on staying current with the latest research in preventive oral health care.
With Dr. Karim El-Samra, as the leader, she is proud to provide exceptional dental care in an office that upholds the highest ethical and professional standards. She is happy to come to work each day because she has the chance to do her best. She will be happy to help you have an awesome smile!
Aside from work, she loves spending time with her husband and her kids. In her spare time, she enjoys redecorating her house, shopping, yoga and cooking with her husband.
