DYSART - Key Persons

Mr. Howard Dysart graduated Worsham College of Mortuary Science and opened the Dysart Chapel in 1919. He opened the chapel located at 208 S. McCoy Street in January, 1935. In June, 1935 Robert L. Cofoid (Bob) began working for him. Bob graduated from Hennepin High School and also graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science, class of 1935. Since that time, the facilities have expanded to incorporate the buildings on either side of the original 208 location. In 1952, Bob purchased the facility from Mr. Dysart and lived in the apartment upstairs. Mr. Dysart continued funeral directing until his death.
