Christopher Pulido

Christopher brings over 10 years of diverse social, corporate, and association experiences to Details by CP, LLC, in producing national conferences, meetings, private events, holiday parties, not-for-profit galas, and private weddings. Prior to founding Details by CP, LLC, Christopher worked with UnidosUS (formerly the National Council of La Raza, NCLR) in Washington, DC, as the Associate Director of Events and Meetings. During his 8 year tenure at NCLR, he was responsible for production aspects of some of their most high visibility events including the NCLR Annual Capital Awards Gala, NCLR Annual Conference, and the American Latino Media Arts (ALMA) Awards that were attended by various local leaders, political figures, and celebrities. He was also responsible for developing and implementing the NCLR Small Meetings Initiative where he developed a brand standard for all NCLR small meetings, receptions, legislative trainings, and education briefings while streamlining the planning process and execution. Before his tenure at NCLR, Christopher began his career in hospitality and meeting planning in San Francisco working at a boutique event décor company that specialized in event design concepts and maintained a cache of unique assets to make any event a special occasion. He has also worked with other nonprofits and event décor companies in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan areas on special events ranging from nonprofit fundraisers to intimate family events. In addition to his affiliations with event planning organizations, Christopher has worked as an independent wedding and event consultant and has helped to design and create countless special meetings and events. Prior to working in special events, Christopher was a Spanish bilingual elementary school teacher where he taught to all subjects to 3rd and 4th grade students. Christopher brings his teaching experiences to the hospitality industry in his ability to work with diverse individuals leading them towards a common goal. Christopher received his BA from the University of California, Berkeley in Spanish Literature. He also earned a Masters in Tourism Administration with an emphasis in event and meeting planning from the George Washington University in Washington, DC. Christopher also served as a founding board member of the Network of Latino Meeting Professions in Washington DC. Christopher is currently living in Altadena with his amazing life-partner and his two children Isabella and George where he enjoys the sun, food, and all that Southern California has to offer. He also enjoys spending quality time with his two dogs, Nico and Naya.

Emily Malave

A top performing special projects Manager with over 20 years in customer service, special events, coordinating educational programs, and events for diverse multicultural audiences, children, families, and elite clientele in both the private and non-profit sector. Emily has been successful in managing all aspects of large-scale (80k+) and small-scale (≤ 25) special events, including Back to School and Health Fairs, El Día de Los Niño's, festivals, conferences, expos, summits, town halls, film screenings, meeting, workshops, training, and fundraisers. Emily's expertise lies in successfully developing and implementing event logistics plans, establishing solid relationships with vendors and customers and facilitating marketing and promotional efforts to maximize participation. She excels at problem-solving, building, training, and managing event teams, including staff and volunteers, securing venues and soliciting vendors and entertainment. Additionally, Emily has established success in driving key vendor negotiations and preparing event budgets and areas of excellence include: event production & oversight, strategic planning, partnership/sponsorship development, vendor/client relations, volunteer recruitment, team building & leadership, event logistics, budget management, resource management, public & media Relations,marketing strategic, venue/site selection, contract negotiations, stakeholder engagement. Emily has a Bachelor of Public Administration from Northern Arizona University and currently volunteers as the Event Planner for the Chavez Youth and Community Foundation a 501 (c) (3) that provides a safe place and programming for Arizona at-risk youth. Emily also volunteers for the Unity of Phoenix as a community liaison, and at the Tao Healing Center as a yoga instructor. She developed Mindfulness in the "Real" World, a 4-week course that guides the students the tools and practice of becoming more present to reach their full potential. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico she is bilingual with fluency in English and Spanish. Emily currently divides her time between two states Phoenix, Arizona and Bradenton, Florida. On her time off she loves to explore and travel the world with her two amazing children Marco and Mia. Her hobbies include reading, teaching yoga and meditation guide.
