Dr. Mona Misra is a highly experienced and skilled bariatric surgeon, recently moving from Canada to Los Angeles. Since completing her training, she has performed thousands of advanced laparoscopic, bariatric, and endoscopic procedures. Dr. Misra has presented research findings at numerous national and international meetings on advanced laparoscopic techniques and metabolic surgery. Dr. Misra is a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She is also currently a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and Canadian Medical Protective Association.
Dr. Misra was honored with the Outstanding Preceptor Award in Surgery two years in a row by the Undergraduate MD Program. Additionally, she was recognized for the ‘Most Distinguished Poster Presentation' awarded at S.A.G.E.S. (Society of Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons) in 2004 and earned the Certificate of Merit Award from the Canadian Association of Medical Educators in 2007.
Dr Smith is a key contributor in the publication of bariatric-related studies and publications. Most recently, his work includes an article about the positive relationship between support group attendance and one year post-operative weight loss in gastric banding patients, as well as a study about the effect of Adjustable Gastric Banding on obesity and weight-loss quality of life.
Dr. Adam Smith is highly experienced in all weight-loss procedures and has performed nearly 3000 LAP-BAND surgeries. Due to his level of LAP-BAND expertise, he has served as a trainer and proctor for Allergan.

Dr. Alana Chock is board certified in General Surgery, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and has been certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. While serving on the faculty at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center, she trained hundreds of surgeons and residents in the field of minimally invasive surgery. In 2006, she was recognized as an outstanding leader, as recipient of the Intraoperative Teaching Award. Dr. Chock joined the bariatric team at Northwest Weight Loss Surgery in 2008 and performs hundreds of weight loss surgeries each year.
Dr. Chock is recognized as a pioneer in the field of bariatrics. Currently, in addition to her work as a bariatric surgeon at Northwest Weight Loss Surgery, she serves as the Cosmetic Services Director, recognizing some of the concerns that patients have with skin laxity and excess skin after weight loss surgeries.
Dr. Alana Chock has been invited to lecture at surgical meetings and conferences both nationally and internationally. She is recognized for her expertise in bariatric procedures, specifically in advanced laparoscopic techniques. Recently Dr Chock became board certified by American Board of Obesity Medicine. This is a new national program that specifically recognizes physicians who specialize in obesity.
Dr Alana Chock completed fellowship training in Advanced Laparoscopy at the Texas Endosurgery Institute. Before joining Northwest Weight Loss Surgery in 2008, Dr. Chock served as the Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the UCSD Hernia Center.

Dr. Amit Trevedi is a highly-experienced and respected bariatric surgeon, serving patients in New Jersey and surrounding areas. Dr. Barry Greene is a highly-regarded and experienced surgeon, performing weight loss procedures in the Washington D.C. area since 2001. Dr. Daniel Cottam is a highly experienced and innovative bariatric surgeon, practicing at the Bariatric Medicine Institute at the Salt Lake Regional Medical Center. He is credited for helping pioneering the sleeve gastrectomy, the gastric imbrications, the bandication, and was the first surgeon to perform a Gastric Bypass Surgery in India, while teaching Indian Surgeons the procedure. Dr. David Provost has 20 years of experience in bariatric surgery and has performed hundreds of weight loss surgery procedures including gastric bypass surgery, sleeve gastrectomy, adjustable gastric banding (LAP-BAND®) surgery, and revisional surgeries. He is regarded as one of the most skilled and highly qualified bariatric surgeons in the nation, and has taught bariatric surgery techniques to students and doctors from across the country. Dr. Provost pioneered laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass in Texas, first performing the procedure in 1999. Dr. Douglas Ewing is a highly-skilled and compassionate weight loss surgeon in New Jersey. Dr. Emma Patterson is known nationally and internationally as a leader in laparoscopic bariatric surgery, having performed thousands of laparoscopic bariatric surgeries. Each year, she performs hundreds of lap-bands procedures, laparoscopic gastric bypasses and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomies. She has also mastered revisional procedures, and is the principal investigator on many research studies. In the year 2000, Dr. Patterson was one of the first surgeons in the US to perform adjustable gastric banding surgery, and in March, 2011, she performed the first microlaparoscopic LAP-BAND in the world.

Dr. Gregory F. Walton has more than 15 years of surgical experience. In 2006, he created Transforming Lives, PLLC and opened the WeightWise Bariatric Program in Edmond, Oklahoma. Dr. J. Keith Wright is an expert bariatric surgeon with a San Antonio practice that specializes in the gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, and adjustable gastric band procedures. Dr. Jaime Ponce has performed bariatric surgery since 1998, and is highly experienced with the laparoscopic adjustable gastric band procedure.
