GOING OUT THERE

This framework has been developed in partnership by the Scottish Government, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the Scottish Advisory Panel for Outdoor Education (SAPOE), Education Scotland, and the Association of Directors of Education, with input from other partners including voluntary organisations and providers... SAPOE has a representative from every Local Authority and the Scottish Council For Independent Schools. The Scottish Government have given SAPOE the responsibility for maintaining and implementing the ‘Going Out There' guidance. For more information about the work of SAPOE, please visit the SAPOE website... ‘Going Out There' has been adopted by a number of Local Authorities and Independent Schools in Scotland.
