Kernutt Stokes began in Eugene, Oregon in 1945 as Piquet & Minihan, later becoming Minihan, Kernutt, Stokes & Co. and then Kernutt Stokes Brandt & Co. The company grew in the 1990s through the merger of two other firms into KSB. In 2010, the firm rebranded to Kernutt Stokes and moved to the current location of the Eugene office, which serves as headquarters for the company. The firm expanded into Corvallis, Bend, and Lake Oswego, Oregon in 2018 following the acquisition of Spectrum CPA Group. The current offices in Corvallis and Bend opened in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
