Alina Lopez Vitone has been in the fundraising profession for over 20 years, specializing in prospect research and prospect management. Alina's background includes 18 years at Rutgers University Foundation as the Senior Director of Development Research before retiring in 2006. She has been involved in numerous capital campaigns, the last campaign netting over $500 million for Rutgers University. Alina has in-depth experience in: creating and using prospect tracking systems; using results from wealth screenings, peer screenings and manual assessments to identify prospects; and using the Internet and specialized databases to provide biographical and wealth information on potential prospects. For the last 3 years she has been an independent consultant specializing in development research, prospect management and data management. She owns, Lopez Vitone Associates, where she and her colleagues assist clients with their research and prospect management needs. She has been a member of APRA (American Prospect Research Association) and has presented at a number of APRA, AFP and CASE conferences.
