DR. ALLEN C. BOWLING IS AN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED NEUROLOGIST, MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SPECIALIST, AND INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE PIONEER LOCATED IN DENVER, CO. HE IS DIRECTOR OF THE NEUROHEALTH INSTITUTE AND CLINICAL PROFESSOR OF NEUROLOGY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO. IN 2016, DR BOWLING RECEIVED THE "NEUROSCIENTIST OF THE YEAR AWARD" FROM THE COLORADO NEUROLOGICAL INSTITUTE (CNI). Dr. Allen Bowling, is an internationally renowned neurologist, Multiple Sclerosis specialist, and integrative medicine pioneer in the Denver, CO, metropolitan area. He has a longstanding interest in Multiple Sclerosis and has a passion for providing care to those with Multiple Sclerosis. Dr. Allen Bowling is currently Director of the NeuroHealth Institute and Clinical Professor of Neurology at the University of Colorado. In the area of Multiple Sclerosis care and treatment, he has published numerous articles in clinical and basic science journals. He is the author of five books, including Optimal Health with Multiple Sclerosis: A Guide to Integrating Lifestyle, Alternative, and Conventional Medicine. In addition, Dr. Bowling has authored publications and provided consultation for many Multiple Sclerosis and professional neurology organizations, including the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation (MSIF), National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, numerous Multiple Sclerosis societies in Europe and Australia, and the American Academy of Neurology. In order to obtain experience and knowledge about lifestyle, unconventional, and lesser known Multiple Sclerosis treatment options, Dr. Allen Bowling has been involved in research related to nutrition, dietary supplements, and other non-pharmacologic therapies for the past 30 years. In this area, he has lectured extensively and is the author of many lay and professional articles. Dr. Allen Bowling has many interests outside of science and medicine. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He also enjoys running, skiing, hiking, and good food. Education: 1982 B.S. Bowling, MD, PhD, is an internationally recognized neurologist and integrative medicine pioneer who has over three decades of clinical and research experience. He has devoted his career to developing and providing rigorous, comprehensive, and compassionate care to those with MS. Dr. Bowling is Director of the NeuroHealth Institute. He is also Clinical Professor of Neurology at the University of Colorado. Dr. Bowling has more than 100 lay and professional publications, including five books on MS. He has provided consultation or authored publications for many MS and neurological organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the National MS Society (NMSS), and the MS International Federation (MSIF). Dr. Bowling lectures extensively and is actively engaged in the ongoing clinical care of people with MS. Dr. Bowling is a summa cum laude graduate of Yale, where he also obtained his MD and PhD degrees. He completed his neurology residency training at the University of California-San Francisco and his fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital-Harvard Medical School.
