Biography Bethany received her bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University and then moved to Alabama, where she graduated from the University of Alabama-Birmingham with her Masters of Physical Therapy in 1998. During that same time, she also got her EMT and athletic training certification. During her time in Alabama, she has worked in various settings and roles, but has been primarily focused in the outpatient setting in Guntersville for the past 8 years. She and her husband have 2 children.

Brad W. Wills

Biography Dr. Brad Wills is a leading orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in conditions of the hip and knee, serving Huntsville, Alabama and the surrounding communities of the Tennessee Valley. While other orthopaedic surgeons may address the entire body, Dr. Wills is a dedicated specialist in hip and knee replacement, giving him absolute expertise in his field of practice. He believes in cultivating a strong doctor-patient relationship, as well as adhering to surgical principles, to give his patients the best possible outcome. Dr. Wills is one of only five surgeons in North Alabama who are fellowship-trained in total joint replacement. Dr. Wills attended Sewanee: The University of the South, where he received a bachelor's degree in biology. After receiving his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Wills continued his medical education with a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Alabama. During his residency, he was elected chief resident, inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, and earned multiple awards, including the Kurt Niemann award for the most outstanding chief resident and the John S. Gould Award for Outstanding Junior resident during his time. After residency, he completed a hip and knee replacement fellowship at the prestigious Anderson Clinic in Alexandria, Virginia. Dr. Wills is a reviewer for multiple medical journals. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons as well as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Brian Boyd

Biography Brian is a staff Occupational Therapist who comes to the clinic after working as a therapist for 15 years while residing in Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1996. Over his career he has worked primarily treated UE injuries in both the outpatient and acute hospital settings. Over the last 7 years he has worked in an outpatient setting specializing in only injuries involving the upper extremity from the shoulder to the hand. In 2006 he obtained the credential of Certified Hand Therapist. His special interests include shoulder injuries, tendon and burn injuries in the hand. He is a licensed member of the Alabama Board of Occupational Therapy. Also, he is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists.

Brian R. Carter

Biography Dr. Carter specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He holds a B.S. degree in Biology from Florida State University and received an M.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Carter completed his residency in Physical Medicine at the University of Virginia where he served as chief resident. He then completed an Interventional Spine fellowship at the Non-Surgical Orthopaedic and Spine Center in Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Carter specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of soft tissue, neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders including neck and back pain, sciatica, disc herniation, spondylosis, shoulder and knee pain, concussions, sports injuries, workers comp injuries and general rehabilitation. He performs Independent Medical Evaluations and Permanent Partial Impairment Evaluations. He has received specialized training in joint, soft tissue, and spinal injections. Dr. Carter is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Carter serves as the current Medical Director for TOC Therapy Services and Industrial Rehabilitation Services.

J. Blake Boyett

Biography Dr. John Blake Boyett is a board-certified orthopaedic spine surgeon. He graduated from Sulligent High School in the small west Alabama town. After finishing on the Dean's List at Samford University, he attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences for medical school and started orthopaedic residency at KCUMB/St. Mary's Medical Center. He has always had an interest in orthopaedic and spine surgery but specifically in minimally-invasive surgery and sports related spine injuries. After graduating from residency as Chief Resident, he decided to pursue orthopaedic spinal surgery and was accepted into the prestigious Texas Back Institute for fellowship. During his fellowship, he obtained vast experience in varying cases of complexity, from multilevel scoliosis procedures to minimally invasive spine surgery. Dr. Boyett has completed a sub-fellowship in minimally invasive spine surgery and sports-related injuries with the world-renowned surgeon for the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers, Dr. Drew Dossett. Dr. Boyett received vast experience in treating high school, college, and professional athletes and strives to get them back to optimal shape to return to play their sport. Dr. Boyett is currently the Director of the Spine Department at Athens Limestone Hospital and continues to work to offer the most advanced and innovative treatments to neck and back pain. In his spare time, Dr. Boyett enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, and his children, Brooks and Wells, as well as hunting, fishing, golf and working with his two Labrador Retrievers.
