Open Buffalo is a civic initiative to make major, long-term improvements in justice and equity in the City of Buffalo. It is an unprecedented collaboration among a diverse group of partners and allies... Since its inception, Open Buffalo has played a key role advocating for equitable economic development and anti-gentrification, climate protection, criminal justice reform, arts activism, and voter engagement. Seeking a more equitable future than experienced today, Open Buffalo is dedicated to being a voice and bringing voices together to advance social justice agendas for communities of color, immigrants and refugees, the LGBTQI community, senior citizens, women, and those who are differently-abled... At Open Buffalo, we believe our role is to create an empowered democratic society by training individuals in how to identify problems and create solutions in public policy and public systems.
