SOS DIESEL MECHANICAL SERVICES - Key Persons
Hernan Bedoya has over 30 years of experience in diesel mechanic and heavy duty truck repair, has operated this company for almost 6 years.
Mr. Bedoya is a Colombian at birth and American at heart, married and is the father to a boy. He became interested in this profession when he was just 14 years old where he empirically learned and took his first steps in the industry. Later on, with the experience he already had in truck repair and diesel mechanic repair he became certified in a technical institution in his hometown, where he worked for 9 years.
In 1995, Mr. Bedoya emigrated to the United States of America looking for better opportunities for him and his family keeping in mind at all times that he wanted to work in his beloved profession in this foreign country. For 10 years he was working as an employee of a company as a truck driver.
Due to his own interest of always wanting to repair and doing the maintenance on the truck he was driving, he was promoted to the mechanic of the company. Then, he became independent and in an informal way he started his own business SOS Diesel Mechanical Services.
SOS is not meant to be understood as the acronym of the rescue sign, but as the abbreviation of his work motto in his native language "Sol o Sombra" -Sun or Shade-, absolute attitude, availability and commitment towards his clients needs. Then, thanks to the HBIF support and advice he fulfilled all the requirements to register his company SOS Diesel Mechanical Services.
