Bridging the gap between science and industry and offering support to new companies are two of the main areas of interest of the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa) in cooperation with the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (Eawag), and the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL)... Building bridges between stakeholders is the team's main task: we support researchers with communication and event management. Furthermore, we represent the Empa at selected activities and various partnerships... We are organised in three groups that cover research topics such as carbon nanomaterials, functional surfaces and 2D quantum materials, both from an experimental point of view and via atomistic simulations as well as in terms of device applications.
