Bouchra Lamik-Thonhauser - CEO

With over 20 years of experience, Bouchra Lamik-Thonhauser is a highly experienced executive in the oil and gas industry. Bouchra is Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Board of TDE Group. Throughout her career she has held various management and executive positions. She holds a master's degree in petroleum engineering from Montanuniversität Leoben in Austria, several patents and authors a number of scientific papers in the field of digitalization and drilling performance optimization. Bouchra has received several awards, amongst them, the Austrian Entrepreneur of the Year 2022 and Special Entrepreneurial Performance from the Austrian Chamber of Commerce. Her expertise and strategic insights have been key to the success of TDE Group in developing technologies that support the transition to a more sustainable energy future. In addition, Bouchra is also actively involved in various industry associations and initiatives that promote sustainability and the transition to a low-carbon economy as well as diversity, inclusion, and social responsibility.

Professor Gerhard Thonhauser, Chairman of TDE Group, is a world-renowned expert in the digitalization of the energy industry, with over 25 years of experience in providing the energy industry with cutting-edge technology. His innovative solutions have greatly enhanced efficiency and sustainability, with the ultimate goal to provide technology delivering clean and affordable energy. Professor Thonhauser's expertise is widely recognized in academia and the industry, positioning him as one of the foremost authorities in this field. With more than 25 years of expertise in digitalization, artificial intelligence, and downhole technologies, Professor Thonhauser has been instrumental in developing data-driven products and services that optimize the drilling process using automated performance measurements and create a game changing and unique downhole power and data highway. As initiative to accelerate the energy transition from hydrocarbons to hydrogen and carbon he has been driving the development of hydrogen production technologies and the utilization of solid carbon as a secondary raw material, e. g. for novel energy storage solutions and soil enhancement. Since 2003 he is the Head of the Chair of Drilling and Completion Engineering at Montanuniversität Leoben, Austria. Prof. Thonhauser has authored and co-authored more than 100 publications in the drilling data and digitalization domain and is an active member of SPE.
